“Will you marry me?” — Tom Brady brings joy to the NFL world as he finally pops the question to ex-wife Gisele Bündchen after their reunion
Oct. 28, 2022, and the court declared their marriage as dissolved and “irretrievably broken” the same day.
The pair first met through mutual friends and later wed in 2009. They went on to welcome two children together.
Over the course of their relationship, Brady won seven Super Bowl titles and Bündchen’s photo graced the cover of more than 1,200 magazines.
However, Brady’s dedication to his career caused a rift between him and Bündchen. Tensions rose in their marriage when heBrady recalled that fateful first meeting and reflected on how much it changed his life.
“I think the one phone call that changed my life was my friend Ed, who called me one day and he said, ‘I have this girl and I think you should call her,’ ” Brady shared. “I ended up calling her and it ended up being the love of my life.” Rumors started circulating that the two were an item when Bündchen was spotted waiting for Brady outside of the New England Patriots locker room on Jan. 14, 2007, after the team’s win against the San Diego Chargers. A rep for the Chargers said they were “100 percent sure” they saw Bündchen in the stands during the game.
