On Thursday, May 9, Baldwin, 61, spoke exclusively to PEOPLE about his growing family at the Americans With No Address VIP Screening at the Cinemark Baldwin Hills Crenshaw in Los Angeles.Their social media reveal took fans by surprise, and Hailey and Justin were likely able to keep the details a secret.

“I just found out a couple of hours ago,” Baldwin tells PEOPLE at Thursday’s screening.

“My niece and nephew [were asking], ‘Have you talked to Stephen [Baldwin] yet? Been able’ — No, I haven’t. I just texted him,” he says, adding, “But this will be his second [grandchild] and I’m excited.”Billy also shared what he thinks of the Rhode founder and the Grammy winner as a couple.

“I think they’re an adorable couple. Hailey comes from a great family with my brother Stephen and his wife Kennya and her older sister Alaia, who’s married with her own grandchild,” he tells PEOPLE of their large family.

The Northern Rescue alum also reflected on when he first became a parent, telling PEOPLE that his “greatest regrets” were “I was a little bit too new age, and I wasn’t old school enough.”

After the couple made their grand rHailey and Justin each shared the same set of photos and video, which showed the mom-to-be wearing a white lace dress, holding her baby bump as she modeled for her husband — who played a photographer in the pictures.
