Patrick Mahomes Says His Restaurant with Travis Kelce Won’t Be ‘Too High-Priced’ So ‘Everybody Can Go’ “We have a love for bringing people together,” Mahomes said of their upcoming steakhouse 1587 Prime
“We’re going to do whatever we can to continue to bring people together and what better place than Kansas City.”
One reporter quipped it would be a “$15 menu, right?” prompting Mahomes to agree that they want the restaurant to be affordable.
“I’m sure there will be some things on there that will be $15,” he revealed. “All honesty though, we thought about that and we don’t want to make it too upscale, too high-priced that not everybody can go.” He added: “So we’re going to make it a place where hopefully Kansas City can call it home, and that everybody can be there and really enjoy it.”
And it’s not just for patrons to enjoy – the star quarterback wants to celebrate post NFL games at the joint.
“Hopefully we can win some games at Arrowhead Stadium and then we can get to go over and have a few drinks and food with it,” he said. With an opening set for early 2025, the large modern steakhouse will take up 10,000 square feet and span two floors. Additionally, it will have many private dining rooms and food items and decor that tie in “hyper-subtle nods” to Mahomes’s and Kelce’s football accolades, per a release.
“We’re excited to be a part of this journey with Noble 33 to create a one-of-a-kind dining experience, and what better place to start than our very own Kansas City,” Kelce said in a statement at the time.
