JUST IN: Donald Trump Responds as Federal Judges Agree to Hear an Emergency Bid to Halt His $2 Billion East Wing Ballroom Project Amid Multiple Lawsuits and Outstanding Payment Disputes with ACECO

Federal judges on Tuesday agreed to hear an emergency bid seeking to halt former President Donald Trump’s controversial $2 billion East Wing Ballroom project, a construction initiative that has drawn mounting legal scrutiny and public backlash.

The petition—filed by a coalition of watchdog groups, community organizations, and contractors—argues that the project violates federal preservation rules and was pushed forward despite multiple unresolved lawsuits and an escalating payment dispute with ACECO, the demolition and contracting firm previously involved in Trump’s East Wing expansion.

In a brief but pointed statement, Trump dismissed the legal challenges as “politically motivated noise,” insisting that the ballroom project would “restore prestige and functionality” to the White House complex.

He accused opponents of trying to “sabotage progress” and vowed to “fight this all the way.”

ACECO, meanwhile, claims Trump’s team still owes a substantial unpaid balance from earlier demolition work—an issue that has now become part of the broader legal battle surrounding the project.

The federal court is expected to review arguments later this week. A temporary pause on construction could be issued depending on the judges’ early findings, setting the stage for yet another high-stakes confrontation over Trump’s sweeping redevelopment plans.

Trump owes the Supreme Court an apology—to the Justices he smeared on Friday and the institution itself. He doubtless won’t offer one, but his rant in response to his tariff defeat at the Court was arguably the worst moment of his Presidency.

The first American pope has declined — days after rejecting President Trump’s “Board of Peace” invitation.
