WWE legend Hulk Hogan has died aged 71, it has been confirmed this afternoon

 

 

American WWE icon Hulk Hogan has died at the age of 71 following a reported cardiac arrest in his Florida residence. It is understood the wrestler, born Terry Gene Bollea, was found dead in his Clearwater home on Thursday morning (July 24).

According to TMZ, first responders were called to his home after receiving a call about a “cardiac arrest”. Police and paramedics reportedly parked outside the property this morning. According to the news outlet, the sporting giant was carried out of his mansion on a stretcher into an ambulance.

Tributes have been pouring in for Hulk, who rose to fame in the 1980s and appeared in Rocky III, following the tragic news of his passing.

One fan wrote on the star’s final Instagram post, which was shared just yesterday: “RIP BROTHER!! A TRUE LEGEND!!” Another said: “Rest in peace, brother.”

A third shared: “Still trying to believe this is real… Hulk Hogan wasn’t just a wrestler — he was a childhood hero, a larger-than-life icon who made us believe in strength, loyalty, and saying our prayers

The red and yellow didn’t just stand for colors — they stood for heart. He made arenas shake, changed lives, and inspired generations of fans to never give up. Hulkamania will never die, because legends like him never truly leave us. Rest easy, brother — and thank you for everything.”

Someone else penned: “RIP. Childhood is slowly disappearing.”

For his final post, the wrestling giant, who was 6 ft 7 in tall, shared a picture of himself on a beach towel holding a cold beverage. He captioned the post: “Beach day sponsored by Brotherhood.”
