Devastating Loss for the Kelce Family: Kylie Kelce visibly distraught as she Confirm Sister Aubrey Tragically Died in Texas Hill Country Floodwaters

In a heartbreaking announcement that has shaken both the sports world and the Kelce family’s massive fanbase, Jason Kelce and wife Kylie Kelce have confirmed the tragic death of Kylie’s younger sister, Aubrey McDevitt, in the catastrophic floods that swept through the Texas Hill Country this past weekend.

Aubrey, 29, had been visiting friends near Kerrville, Texas, when torrential rains caused flash flooding that overwhelmed the region. According to initial reports, Aubrey and three others were swept away while attempting to drive across a low-water crossing late Saturday evening. Emergency responders later confirmed that her body was recovered Sunday morning, just downstream from the Blanco River.

In an emotional joint statement shared to social media, Jason and Kylie wrote:

> “Our hearts are broken beyond words. Aubrey was a shining light in our lives — fiercely loyal, deeply compassionate, and full of love for those around her. Losing her so suddenly and so tragically is something we are still trying to comprehend. Please keep our family and everyone affected by these floods in your prayers.”

Kylie, visibly distraught, was seen arriving at the Philadelphia International Airport early Sunday to board a private flight to Texas with Jason by her side. The couple has requested privacy as they grieve with family.

Aubrey McDevitt was known for her work in nonprofit education and was particularly passionate about underserved communities. Friends say she had flown into Texas for a short retreat with college friends and had been in high spirits just hours before the storm hit.

NFL players, coaches, and fans across the country have been flooding social media with tributes and messages of support. Travis Kelce, Jason’s brother and Kansas City Chiefs tight end, posted:

> “Aubrey was family to me too. This hurts in ways I can’t even describe. All my love to Kylie and Jason. We’ll never forget her.”

The Texas Hill Country floods have claimed multiple lives, and officials are continuing rescue and recovery efforts. The National Weather Service has warned of further flash flooding in surrounding areas this week.

A candlelight vigil is expected to be held in Aubrey’s hometown of Narberth, Pennsylvania, later this week. A memorial fund in her honor is reportedly in the works to support disaster relief and women’s education causes — two things Aubrey cared deeply about.

As tributes pour in, the Kelce family is left holding on to memories of a sister, daughter, and friend taken far too soon.

Trump owes the Supreme Court an apology—to the Justices he smeared on Friday and the institution itself. He doubtless won’t offer one, but his rant in response to his tariff defeat at the Court was arguably the worst moment of his Presidency.

NEW: JD Vance flew to Rome to formally invite Pope Leo XIV to join America’s 250th anniversary celebration. The first American pope has declined — days after rejecting President Trump’s “Board of Peace” invitation.
