Leaving the country” – Taylor Swift reacts subtly when Kim and Kanye express their desire to reconcile with her after making the singer feel like she is living in hell. Read more:
commemorating Swift being named 2023’s Person of the Year, published Wednesday, the “Bejeweled” singer, 33, said, “You have a fully manufactured frame job, in an illegally recorded phone call, which Kim Kardashian edited and then put out to say to everyone that I was a liar. That took me down psychologically to a place I’ve never been before.”
Swift was referring to her feud with Kardashian and her then-husband, West, which started Swift’s acceptance speech at the Video Music Awards, and continued in 2016, when West released the song “Famous.”
In the song, he rapped the line, “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex/ Why? I made that bitch famous” and claimed that Swift had consented to the lyrics. After calling that a “frame job,” Swift described the incident as among the “horrendous things that happened to me,” and called the experience “Getting canceled within an inch of my life and sanity.”
Following that event, Swift claimed, she moved to “a foreign country,” where she “didn’t leave a rental house for a year.”“I was afraid to get on phone calls. I pushed away most people in my life because I didn’t trust anyone anymore,” she revealed. “I went down really, really hard.”
Her next album was 2017’s “Reputation,” about which she said, “I was really overthinking.”
