BREAKING: U.S. Congress Officially Launches Impeachment Proceedings Against President Donald Trump

Washington, D.C. — In a dramatic and historic move that has sent shockwaves through Washington and the global political landscape, the United States Congress on Tuesday officially launched impeachment proceedings against President Donald Trump, initiating the most expansive impeachment effort in modern American history.

House leadership confirmed that detailed draft articles of impeachment have been prepared, alleging a wide-ranging pattern of misconduct by the president and senior members of his cabinet. The allegations include embezzlement of public funds, financial fraud, obstruction of justice, abuse of power, mismanagement of taxpayer money, and alleged war crimes connected to foreign policy decisions and military actions.

According to congressional sources, the impeachment inquiry follows months of closed-door investigations, whistleblower testimony, financial audits, and intelligence briefings. Lawmakers say the evidence uncovered points to “systemic corruption” within the administration and a “deliberate effort to evade congressional oversight.”

“No president is above the law,” said the chair of the House Judiciary Committee during a press briefing. “These proceedings are not about politics, but about accountability, the Constitution, and the protection of democratic institutions.”

Scope of the Allegations

The draft articles reportedly accuse President Trump of personally benefiting from government contracts, directing federal resources toward private business interests, and authorizing expenditures without proper congressional approval. Additional counts allege obstruction of justice through interference with investigations, intimidation of witnesses, and refusal to comply with lawful subpoenas.

Several articles also name senior cabinet officials, alleging coordinated efforts to conceal financial records, misrepresent spending to Congress, and misuse emergency powers to bypass legal restrictions.

One particularly controversial article references alleged violations of international law, asserting that certain military actions were undertaken without congressional authorization and resulted in civilian harm, potentially exposing the administration to accusations of war crimes under international standards.

Trump owes the Supreme Court an apology—to the Justices he smeared on Friday and the institution itself. He doubtless won’t offer one, but his rant in response to his tariff defeat at the Court was arguably the worst moment of his Presidency.

The first American pope has declined — days after rejecting President Trump’s “Board of Peace” invitation.
